Airline Finance

This course describes, explains, and analyses the main areas of airline finance in order to provide a framework for analysis of the central financial performance issues in an airline operating environment: the comparison of newer and more established carriers; the impact of leasing; the funding of the forecast growth in traffic; and performance at industry and regional levels.

Transition in the Airline Industry

This course examines the sociopolitical, economic, technological, and competitive, and corporate cultural changes that are currently taking place within and around the airline industry; their reasons for occurring and their impact on airline management.

Strategic Airline Management

This course examines strategic alternatives becoming available to airlines as a result of changes in their external and internal environments; examined also are the ways in which choices amongst these alternatives are realized at the corporate, business, and functional levels.

Airline Marketing Management

This course examines the principles of marketing applied to today’s airline industry. Includes examinations of product design and management, pricing and revenue management, distribution channels, and selling and advertising policies.

Emergent Commercial Trends in International Aviation

This course examines emergent commercial trends and liability issues in the international commercial aviation industry. Covered also, is the future of commercial aviation in the various regions of the world.

Airport Planning and Management

This course examines the major elements that make up the process of planning and managing of airports. The topics covered are: airport system planning and funding, airport capacity analysis, airport technological improvements, airport financial management, airport organizational structures, airport operations and airport relations.

Airport Project Development

This course examines all of the aspects involved in airport project decision making, while taking a close look at new airport project developments and airport expansion projects in progress around the globe. Covered are topics such as: politics of airport development, airport finance, airport planning, environmental planning, air and land side design, intermodal transport connections, economic impacts, and airport - airline relationships.

Airport Administration

This course examines in detail the aspects of airport management and administration. Covered are topics such as: airport managerial structures and systems, airport development, airport master planning, environmental management, privatization of airports, airport economics, airport operations, public relations, and airport liability.

Airport Operations

This course examines all of the current facets of airport operations. Covered are topics such as: airport peaks and airline rescheduling, airport noise control, aircraft operating characteristics, operational readiness, ground handling, baggage handling, airport security, cargo operations, airport technical services, airport emergency readiness, airport access, operational administration, and the airport operations manual.

Practical Applications of Airport Development and Management

This course examines the development of one of the world’s newest, largest, and most technology advanced airports; Denver International Airport. We will examine the errors and mistakes that hampered this project from day 1; making this project a model of what to do, and what not to do in airport projects around the world

Airport Business Design

This course examines a new strategic framework and market research design that allows improved synchronization of new offerings with changing motivational patterns of customers in the airport industry. Topics covered include: the airport business environment; redefining and redesigning of the airport business; and consumer motivation.

This course examines operational information management, and the ways that airlines can improve efficiency in flight, and ground operations. Examined also are safety-critical information and procedures and operational information standardization.

Optimization of Jet Transport Efficiency
